The Best Post Prom Destination – Blue Coast Cottages

Blue Coast Cottages at Wasaga Beach, a town at the Southern end of Georgian Bay has been hosting post prom parties for many years. The breathtaking beach as well its accessibility are what make this spot a popular destination amongst teenagers or graduating students. There are 10 units in total, all of which can accommodate 6, 8, or 10 people.  A minimum of two-night stay is specified. Students who book the cottage during months of May-June receive a special prom group rate.

Planning

The prices for booking depend on the date and the number of people going. While a group of 6 people sounds ideal, it is advisable that a group of 72 or more collectively go in so that all the 10 cottages are booked and everyone is entitled to a number of benefits. It is also recommended to book the cottages 7 months in advance once everyone has agreed on the destination.  The prices for a person start from as low as $90 for two nights. A minimum security deposit is also mandatory  to make sure that teens respect the property they are using.

How to get there and what to bring

The time it takes to reach the cottages is tentatively an hour and a half when you drive from GTA. Two parking spots are available per cottage. It is highly recommended to car pool, commute, or even rent a bus if a large group of people are going.

For items, make sure to bring essentials including soap and shampoo, bathing suit, paper rolls or towels, garbage bags, etc.
