Basic Skincare Tips For Boys

We come across many tips for teenage girls on how to carry the best hairdo, what outfit to wear, and pampering methods for prom night. Unfortunately, it’s not the same for the boys. In this article, we talk about the best skincare tips that can play a vital role in prom prepping.  Whether it entails dealing with acne, premature wrinkles, or simply desiring to look great for prom night, here are 8 basic skincare tips that teenage boys should follow!

Scrubbing

A good exfoliating scrub is helpful in treating acne and other skin related issues by removing unwanted pores from the skin. This makes the topmost layer of skin look fresh and clean. It is advisable to scrub the skin twice a week. Scrubbing is considered one of the best skincare tips for men and even for teenage boys!

Moisturization

Once scrubbing is done, the skin should be moisturized. Moisturizers are important for men who have dry or sensitive skin.  They contain nourishing ingredients like minerals, vitamins, and essential oils, which help in keeping the skin tight, soft and supple. Some good moisturizer brands for men include Bulldog, Kiehl’s, and Jack Black.

Oil for shaving

Before shaving, the application of oil is recommended to reduce skin friction and prevent irritation and bumps. The best natural shave oil for boys will include a variety of ingredients such as Vitamin E and Aloe Vera that slick, nourish, and hydrate the skin for the best possible shave experience.

Shaving balm

Use an alcohol-free balm to help protect the skin from razor burns and red bumps after shaving. The balm does not leave the skin greasy and you can still layer with a moisturizer afterwards.

Sunscreen

The sun can have adverse effects on men skin including fine lines and discoloration. Good sunscreens contain a high SPF rating, UVA and UVB protection as well as active ingredients such as titanium dioxide and zinc oxide, which absorb rays and reflect them from the skin.

Hydrating mask

You should start applying a hydrating mask a few weeks before the prom event. Make sure to invest in one that contains glycerine as it has maximum moisturizing power. Using a hydrating mask is also beneficial because it lessens wrinkles and helps get rid of flabby skin.

Given that prom is an inexorably important event in a teenager’s life, boys should be able to properly groom themselves to look exquisite and feel confident just the like the girls. The above skincare tips can make a remarkable difference if consistently adhered to a few weeks prior the big event.
