5 Reasons Why You Must Travel To Mexico For Post Prom

Are you thinking of flying somewhere after prom? Do you want to travel with family and/or friends? Then an all inclusive Mexico trip, whether it’s to Cancun, Playa Del Carmen, or even Riviera Maya, is the way to go! As someone who has travelled to the country twice, I definitely recommend it not just for post prom but for any kind of vacation! Here are my top 5 reasons why you must visit Mexico!

Food

Mexican cuisine is by far my most favourite type of food and it’s all because of the country’s notorious dip, guacamole. I wasn’t much of a guacamole fan before I visited Mexico and trying it for the first time really set my standards high. The freshness and authentic preparation of tacos, burritos, and tortas make the food very delectable. In addition, the presentation of the food and drinks is simply one of the best I have ever seen!

Weather

The weather in Mexico is almost perfect all year-round therefore going there after prom or high school is still ideal. Although if you are slightly finicky with daily weather conditions, I suggest travelling there between December and April when there is virtually no rain. I travelled there in December and their “winter” wasn’t as bad I thought! The temperatures are excellent during daytime and at night, it’s cool enough to wear sweaters or other thick lounge wear!

Hospitality

The sweetest and most respectable people I have ever encountered while on vacation are from Mexico! As a nation that is deeply in touch with its roots, Mexican people are polite and they exchange this gesture to those who appreciate the beauty of their country particularly, tourists. Upon arrival, you are welcomed with open arms. If you are lost or confused, Mexicans will go out of their way to help you find the information you’re looking for, even if you don’t speak Spanish.

Tourist attractions

Apart from the world-class beaches, Mexico has numerous renowned tourist spots that are worth visiting! From the pyramids of El Castillo in the centre of Chichen Itza, to Xcaret Park along the coast of Yucatan, there are so many different excursions that these history-enriched destinations offer!

The beaches

Mexico has many beautiful beaches! On top of that, the resorts offer amazing water activities. One activity I definitely recommend is to go on a catamaran. You set out on the ocean and you also get to learn about Mexico’s coral reef. Not only that, but you get to go snorkelling in the ocean and swim with the ocean wildlife!

Affordability

Whether you are booking a trip online or via a travel agent, Mexico is one of the most affordable destinations even for high school students! There are many cheap all-inclusive packages that offer luxurious accommodations and an array of attractions you can visit! Mexico is even more affordable when there isn’t a major holiday that is going on since its a less of a demand to fly.
